My first two years of college, I was a student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and in the winter of 2021-22, I decided to change my major from straight up studio art, to art education and become a teacher. I did this because I started working for a school and wanted to be involved and be in teaching. A mentor teacher of mine advised me to change my major to art education which I quickly found out that UT Knoxville did not have, but UT Chattanooga did! So I applied, got in, met my incredible advisor and started my education career there.
